Piano Place began operations in 2017 with a home studio in Kanata as its first location.

In 2024, we hired our first teacher to begin our journey as a school. We started in one room in the basement of a church where we acquired a baby grand piano. The growth was slow, but we were able to get our small teaching team a handful of students. In September 2026, Piano Place opened at 477 Bronson Avenue with new teachers and a receptionist team.

Children and teenagers (ages 4 to 16) make up 70% of our clientele. Our students consistently achieve high honours at the Royal Conservatory of Music, local and national music festivals and competitions. Students bypass comfort zones by learning to play the piano. They report that progressing in their piano education correlates to increased confidence and joy.
