Built on love for music — and for the people who make it

Our Story

It started with one piano and a simple idea

The Piano Place was founded on the belief that music education in Ottawa could be warmer, bolder, and more human. Not a factory of scales and exams — a community where every student is seen, heard, and celebrated.

Today we teach hundreds of students across the city, from four-year-olds finding middle C for the first time to adults rediscovering a dream they shelved decades ago. And we're just getting started — new instruments and programs are on the way, making Piano Place Ottawa's true home for music.
